Mrs. Trish Stakun
Mrs. Stakun has a degree in Special Education from Fitchburg State College and has always worked in Catholic education. She describes Catholic education as “not a job, but my life.” She began her work in the Diocese of Worcester, MA at the Nazareth Home for Boys, a private placement residential school for boys with emotional disturbance, and then went to work at St. Ann’s Orphanage. She and her family relocated to Pennsylvania where she taught for several years in the elementary classrooms at St. Joseph the Worker and St. Jude’s schools. Her role at those schools was 6th grade homeroom, and religion and English at the middle school level.
